A film on trials and tribulations of ‘Ranghabhumi’ – Rangolu is another format of a transgender story narrated by Janaraj.


The film ‘Rangolu’ went on the floors in last May and ready for sending to awards in this December. The protagonist is a theatre actor with female getup in mythological roles. He is leading his life with his son. His attitude internally thinks on the footsteps of a woman. He is given a chance to make a film on his life sketch. The film becomes a hit and what happens is point to be noted.


The Karavali side diction of Kannada is used for this film. The shoot was held in around Mangaluru. Jayaraj has worked under Tamil actor and director Manivannan. He has written story, screenplay and directed the film. Nagaraj is producer of this film. Dinesh Attavar with 32 years of experience is in central character. Padmaja Rao, Chetan Rai, Madhu Rao, Mayoor are also in the cast.


Tu Gopalakrishna has composed music. A special screening for the media was organized at Sri Renukamba Digital theatre on Saturday. Padmasri Dr Girish Kasaravalli, actor, director, producer Shivadwaj and others were present.


The film is hitting the silver screen in December.
